Vindicated: A Musical Analysis

"Dashboard Confessional - Vindicated" ( dshbrdfn8 [content creator] , Youtube, 2:58/3:22) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVKULdVfwTI Vindicated, Dashboard Confessional - Chris Carrabba (2004, USA) To be honest, until I looked into the creation of Vindicated, I didn't realize/remember that this was written for Spider-Man 2 with Chris Carrabba telling MTV, "...Do I get to see the movie early?... I'll absolutely do it." (MTV, 2004).  For me the full song with a band of instruments accompanying the vocals (although still great) doesn't resonate with me. It was actually the solo that Chris Carrabba did for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2004 of Vindicated that has earned a place in my heart, and I often find myself going back to it just for inspiration. Hello, I'm Gage. I was born and raised in the frigid state of Alaska. I have always enjoyed what the Alaskan outdoors has to offer. Although, admittedly, the winters are getting more demanding as I get older and I find myself slowly drifting towards being more of a home-body. I spent five years in the military and am now using my GI bill to further my education and am working towards a Mechanical Engineering degree. I hope that one day I can use this education to work on a big project, hopefully something that deals with space!
